Field hockey falls at Sewanee

Sewanee, Tenn. - The Meredith field hockey program dropped its first road game of the weekend 3-0 against Sewanee Friday night at Puett Field.

Meredith (0-9) saw its lone shot on goal come from sophomore Cynthia Styron Sanchez who scored the Avenging Angels first goal of the season in their last outing against Sweet Briar. 

Sewanee (2-5) tallied 13 penalty corners opportunities compared to the Avenging Angels two.

Sophomore Shae-Lynn Henderson earned 21 saves in goal for Meredith.

The Angels are back in action Sunday when they stay in Tennessee to battle Rhodes.
