CLEARWATER, Fla. -- The Meredith College lacrosse team downed the Albright College Lions 19-12 Tuesday morning from the Joe DiMaggio Sports Complex in Clearwater, Florida. MC Lax made quick work of the Lions by scoring the first three goals of the game and never looked back. 

The Meredith attack shared the ball as six different Angels found the back of the net in the win. Senior Maya Flake lead the way with nine points on 2 goals and 7 assists. Sophomore Arri May dominated play on both sides of the ball with 7 goals, 1 assist, and 2 caused turnovers while Jess Dowdy contributed 5 goals and 1 assist to go along with 8 draw controls. 

The Meredith defense was led by Junior Meredith Sinkler's constant on-ball pressure out of the box to force 11 failed clears by the Lions. Sophomore Goalies Madi Horrell and Mackenzie Bianchi split time in the cage combining for 9 saves in the win.

The Avenging Angels will finish up their spring break competition on Saturday, March 19th in Ashland, VA versus Randolph Macon College at 4:30 pm.
