Flake Breaks School Record, Lacrosse Wins Big

Box Score

Meredith Lacrosse traveled to Brevard College on Saturday and secured their fifth conference win on the saeason, beating the Tornados 22-3.

Maya Flake had a game high six assists and is now the career record holder for Meredith Lacrosse. After a fast start that saw five different Angels score goals in five minutes, Maya Flake found freshman Kayleigh Murphy to break the school record of 141 career assists.  The record was previously held by Molly Miller, class of 2017.

The Angels made quick work of the host team opening up the game with 13 first quarter goals, before slowing down the pace. Led by Flake, who had eight points on two goals and six assists in the game, Meredith saw 11 different Angels find the back of the net. Defensively, Kamryn Muchette and Sophie LeClaire each caused two turnovers.  Muchette grabbed four ground balls while LeClaire had three.

Goalies Madi Horrell and Mackenzie Bianchi split time in the cage for the win.

Meredith returns to USA South action on Wednesday as they head to Fayetteville for a 6pm matchup with Methodist University.
