Box Score 2 Raleigh N.C. - The Meredith volleyball program dropped two matches Saturday afternoon to Berea College and Bridgewater College inside Weatherspoon Gymnasium.
In the first match of the day against Berea the Avenging Angels dropped a heart breaking five-setter after taking the first two sets of the match. Senior Hailey Long and junior Lauren Bissette both tallied 11 kills for the match while graduate student Kenzie Moore and sophomore Madelyn Clark added nine kills. Freshman Lillie Davis totaled 45 assists with six digs.
Defensively, sophomore Emma Duncan earned 16 digs while adding eight kills and junior Hannah Jo Jablonski had a game high 26 digs.
In the second match of the afternoon against Bridgewater, the Avenging Angels fell in three sets. Meredith was led by Bissette who had eight kills while Davis earned 25 assists with seven digs and five kills.
Meredith is back in action Wednesday the 14th when they host St. Andrews at 7 p.m. inside Weatherspoon Gymnasium.
