RALEIGH, N.C. - The Meredith College Volleyball Program made clean sweeps of both Southern Virginia and Pfeiffer Saturday afternoon as they hosted a USA South tri-match inside Weatherspoon Gymnasium.
The Angels now sit 15-7 and 10-2 in USA South play.
In the sweep of SVU, the offense was spread out as senior
Lauren Bissette earned eight kills leading the attack. Junior
Sara Dees along with freshman
Kinley Copeland and
Caitlyn Russell both added six. Dees also added seven digs.
Sophomore
Lillie Davis ran the show with 29 assists while senior
Hannah Jo Jablonski picked up 24 digs.
In their second match of the day against Pfeiffer, the Angels dominated. The tightest set of the match was 25-18 in the third set as Meredith swung a .357 hitting percentage as a team.
Bissette totaled 13 kills while Dees and Russell combined for 17. Davis picked up 37 assists while Jablonski surpassed her 1,000 career dig as an Avenging Angel with 17 in the match.
Meredith is back in action when they travel to N.C. Wesleyan on Oct. 18th at 7 p.m.
