BREVARD, N.C. - The Avenging Angel volleyball program made a season sweep of Brevard college taking them down 3-1 on the road Saturday afternoon inside Boshamer Gymnasium.
Meredith (18-6, 12-2 USA South) won a tight first set 27-25 before Brevard (8-13,5-8 USA South) won the second set. The Angels won sets three and four to secure their eighth win in a row.
Junior
Sara Dees set a career-high in digs with 27 while also adding 10 kills and a block. Senior
Lauren Bissette led the offense with 15 kills and three blocks. Junior
Emma Duncan and freshman
Kinley Copeland added eight kills each while Copeland also tallied two blocks.
Running the offense for the Angels was sophomore
Lillie Davis who set a season-high with 46 assists. Senior
Hannah Jo Jablonski net a game-high 31 digs while freshman
Megan Murray set a career-high with 18 digs.
The Angels sit in the drivers seat of the USA South an host cross town rival William Peace University Tuesday night inside Weatherspoon Gymnasium at 7 p.m.
