RALEIGH, N.C. - Meredith soccer earned a 1-1 draw against Salem College Saturday afternoon at the Meredith Track & Field Complex.
The Angels out shot Salem 41-3 for the game but could never find the back of the net for a second goal to put Salem away.
Meredith earned the lead when sophomore
Avery Wilson scored in the 50th minute after the teams headed to halftime 0-0.
Salem found the equalizer in the 87th minute to earn the surprising draw.
Meredith remains undefeated in USA South play with two wins and two draws. The Angels will be back in action on Wednesday when they travel to cross town rival William Peace for a 7 p.m. start.
