Greensboro, N.C. - The Meredith Volleyball program headed to Greensboro College Saturday afternoon and brought a 3-2 thrilling victory back to Raleigh with them.
Meredith (13-6, 7-2 USA South) won the first, third, and fifth set to secure the victory. The Angels won the third set 17-15 making the match as close as possible.
Greensboro (9-9, 6-3 USA South) scored 19 in the first set which was the only set of the match where either team did not score 20 or more points.
The Angels posted a .138 hitting percentage while they held the Pride to below .100.
Senior
Lauren Bissette tallied a game-high 18 kills with a .444 hitting percentage to led the Angel offense. Junior
Emma Duncan added nine kills while fellow junior
Sara Dees had seven kills and 22 digs.
Sophomore
Lillie Davis earned a double-double with 44 assists and 12 digs. Senior
Hannah Jo Jablonski earned 33 digs while sophomore Alexa house and freshman
Megan Murray added 11.
The Angels are back on the road when they travel to Salem College on Monday at 7 p.m.
