Winston-Salem, N.C. - Meredith volleyball traveled to Salem College Monday night earning another USA South victory 3-1 inside Varsity Gym.
The Angels (14-6, 8-2 USA South) took the first set in dominate fashion 25-11 followed by a close 26-24 win in set two.
Salem (13-7, 7-3 USA South) took the third set 25-22 before falling 25-21 in the fourth giving Meredith the season sweep on the year.
The junior duo of
Sara Dees and
Emma Duncan tallied 17 kills while freshman
Caitlyn Russell added 13 all posting a hitting percentage above .400. Dees added nine digs and two blocks.
Senior
Lauren Bissette, who recently passed 200 career blocks as an Avenging Angel, posted 12 kills. Sophomore setter
Lillie Davis earned 44 assists while also adding eight digs and five kills.
Defensively, Meredith was anchored by senior libero
Hannah Jo Jablonski who had a game-high 16 digs as sophomore
Alexa House sat right behind her with 15. The two also combined for eight service aces.
Meredith is back in action on Saturday when they host a USA South tri-match starting with Southern Virginia at noon followed by Pfeiffer at 4 p.m.
