Brevard, N.C. - The Meredith basketball program dropped its USA South opener 67-53 at Brevard College Friday night inside Boshamer Gymnasium.
The Avenging Angels trailed by four at the end of the first quarter and five, 26-21, at the halftime break. Meredith tried to cut into the Tornadoes lead but faced an 11-point deficit headed into the fourth quarter and could never recover.

Meredith is right back in action tomorrow when they travel to Pfeiffer at 2 p.m.
