RALEIGH, N.C. - The Meredith volleyball program clinched the USA South regular season title Saturday afternoon in a thrilling five set victory over Greensboro College inside Weatherspoon Gymnasium.
The Angels took the first two sets before Greensboro stormed back to force a fifth set. The Angels took that set 15-10 claiming the #1 overall seed in the conference tournament next week.
Meredith honored seniors
Hannah Jo Jablonski and
Lauren Bissette as they played their final regular season game as Angels. They both stuffed the stat sheets as Bissette racked up 18 kills swinging a .324 hitting percentage with two blocks. Jablonski picked up 24 digs.
Junior
Sara Dees earned 12 digs and nine kills while sophomore setter
Lillie Davis had 39 assists and eight digs.
The Angels will host the USA South Conference Tournament with the first round game being Tuesday. A full tournament schedule will be released soon.
