FERRUM, Va. - The Meredith basketball program picked up a 56-44 non-conference win over Ferrum College Saturday afternoon inside Swartz Gymnasium.
The Avenging Angels won every quarter of the game helping them secure a road victory. This started with outscoring the Panthers 14-9 in the first quarter before extending that lead to eight at the halftime break.
Meredith shot 46 percent from the floor while holding the Panthers to just 25 and 17 from behind the arc.
Senior
Piper Carriere led the offense once again with 17 points while junior
Emma Lodge had 12 points and five rebounds.
The senior duo of
Danika Ray and
De'ja Morgan carried a big weight also as Ray grabbed 11 boards and Morgan tallied 10 points.
Meredith starts the new year off at Greensboro College Jan. 3rd with start time set for 2 p.m.
