GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Meredith basketball program picked up its first USA South victory of the season over Greensboro College 49-36 Wednesday afternoon inside Hanes Gymnasium.
The low scoring battle saw the two teams tied at halftime before Greensboro took a one-point lead into the final quarter of action.
Meredith outscored the Pride 18-4 in the fourth quarter securing their first conference win in dominate fashion.
The Avenging Angels showed great dominance on the glass grabbing 13 more rebounds then Greensboro which included 22 offensive rebounds.
Seniors
Piper Carriere and
De'ja Morgan combined for 20 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge. Sophomore
Rylie Wade tallied a career-high in rebounds with 13 while also adding five points.
Meredith is back at home Jan. 6th at 2 p.m. when they host Pfeiffer University.
