Box Score Montgomery, Al. - The Meredith lacrosse program traveled to Huntingdon College and picked up a second conference win 22-3 Saturday afternoon.
Meredith (6-3, 2-0 USA South) scored 14 first-quarter goals and saw eight different Angels find the back of the net in the game.
Huntingdon (1-5, 0-2 USA South) gave up seven goals in the first five minutes of play and trailed 19-1 at halftime.
Senior Kylie Phillips led the high-scoring effort with a team-high five goals while also adding six draw controls and two ground balls. Junior Jessica Dowdy and sophomore Lauryn Turner both score four goals each while also combining for 11 draw controls.
Senior Tori Witmer and sophomore Sophie LeClaire scored twice while the freshman duo of Brooke Blades and Reese Walker also found the back of the net twice. Sophomore Allison June Mabe scored also for the Angels.
Meredith totaled 43 total shots compared to Huntingdon's nine. The Angels also went a perfect five for five in free position opportunities.
Sophomore Amelia Money tallied four saves.
Meredith is back in action for their home USA South opener against Methodist, on March 29th, at 5 p.m.
