RALEIGH, N.C. - Meredith Lacrosse hosted Christopher Newport University Wednesday afternoon and fell 15-2 in non-conference action. 

Meredith (11-4) saw goals in the first and last quarters of action from sophomore Lauryn Turner and freshman Reese Walker. 

Christopher Newport (8-6) was able to shut out the Angels in the second and third periods. 

Meredith trailed 7-1 at the halftime break. Junior Madeline Horrell tallied 12 saves in goal. 

The Angels are back in USA South play Saturday when they travel to Pfeiffer for a 3 p.m. start.
