Misenheimer, N.C. - The Avenging Angels lacrosse team traveled to Pfeiffer University Saturday afternoon and took down the Falcons 23-4 on N.E. Lefko Field. 

Meredith (12-4, 8-0 USA South) jumped out on Pfeiffer (4-12, 3-5 USA South) 11-1 in the first quarter taking just over a minute and a half to score the first goal of the game. The Angels led 16-3 at the half before shutting out the Falcons 5-0 to cruise to victory. 

The Meredith offense was powered by the freshman duo of Brooke Blades and Reese Walker who both set career highs on the afternoon. Blades led the attack netting a career-high seven goals on eight shots while also adding a career-high in draw controls with four. Walker scored a career-high four goals while tying her previous best in assists with six. 

Senior Tori Witmer added five goals while fellow senior Kylie Phillips scored two with an assist and a game-high 11 draw controls. 

The Angels host Piedmont on April 29th for Senior Day at noon to wrap up the 2023 regular season.
