RALEIGH, N.C. - The Meredith volleyball program opened USA South action with a clean sweep 3-0 over Salem College Thursday night inside Weatherspoon Gymnasium.
Meredith (7-3, 1-0 USA South) hit .333 as a team while holding Salem (7-3, 0-2 USA South) to a .172 hitting percentage. The Angels had four players end with a hitting percentage above .450.
Junior
Sara Dees led the Angels with 10 kills and added six digs while senior
Lauren Bissette added nine kills. The freshman duo of
Kinley Copeland and
Caitlyn Russell combined for 13 kills.Â
Senior
Hannah Jo Jablonski had an even 20 digs while freshman
Megan Murray and sophomore
Alexa House combined for 15. Sophomore setter
Lillie Davis directed the Angel offense with 28 assists.Â
Meredith heads to Buena Vista, Va. for a USA South tri-match on Saturday taking on Pfeiffer at 2 p.m. followed by Southern Virginia at 4 p.m.
