Buena Vista, Va. - The Meredith volleyball program beat Pfeiffer 3-0 before falling to Southern Virginia Saturday afternoon inside Knight Arena.
In the first game of the day the Angels cruised to a clean sweep of the Falcons. They repeated their hitting percentage of .333 from their USA South opener against Salem earlier this week.

Lauren Bissette led the charge with 14 kills and a .526 hitting percentage. Junior
Ali Polidori added eight kills as well.

Hannah Jo Jablonski earned nine digs while freshman
Maggie Gibbons and sophomore
Lillie Davis combined for 24 assists and four digs.
Game two of the afternoon against Southern Virginia was a classic USA South battle where the Angels fell short 3-0. Each set was decided by five points or less with set number two going 26-24 in favor of the Knights.
Bissette once again led the Angels with eight kills while Polidori and freshman
Kinley Copeland added six each. Davis tallied 20 assists.
Meredith is right back in action at home Sep. 20th when they host N.C. Wesleyan at 7 p.m.
