ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. - The Meredith Soccer program earned another draw 2-2 when they battled LaGrange College Sunday afternoon on the campus of North Carolina Wesleyan College.
Meredith (0-0-2) struck first and early as junior
Meredith Warrick found the back of the net in the 13th minute to put the Angels ahead. Meredith would lead 1-0 at the half.
LaGrange (1-0-1) scored twice in a five minute span to regain the lead in the second half. The Panthers lead only lasted about 13 minutes as freshman
Rachel Ward knotted things up in the 74th minute of play. This was a first career goal for Ward which proved to help earn a draw for the Avenging Angels.
Warrick tallied a team-high three shots on goal while the Angels out shot the Panthers 12-8 on the afternoon. Graduate senior
Kasey Wilkins earned four saves in goal.
Meredith is back in action when they battle Maryville College on the campus of Piedmont College, Sep. 8th at 5 p.m.
