MEREDITH FACES ST. MARY’S FOR THE FIRST TIME IN PROGRAM HISTORY

Box Score Lexington Park, M.D. - Meredith Traveled on Thursday October 17th to St Mary's College of Maryland for the first match up in history. The Seahawks ultimately lead the game giving them the win but the Angels left the game with a new energy to bring to their final games for the 2024 season.

How it Happened:
The Seahawks came out fast and scored nearly a goal in the first quarter. However the angels did not let this sway them and remained poised on defense. For the first time this season Meredith defense denied their opponent any corners in the opening 15 minutes. The Seahawks closed the opening quarter leading 0-3.

In the second quarter the Avenging angels came out hungry and were ready to challenge the Seahawks defense. Meredith was knocking on St Mary's door and tallied a game high of four corners in the second period. The Seahawks scored one more goal before closing out the first half of the game.

In the opening second half Meredith held St Marys with a game low of two shots. Before the whistle blew the Seahawks managed to score one more goal going into the last quarter leaving the score  0-5.

Meredith continued to push for the final 15 minutes of play and rose to the challenge the Seahawks presented. St Marys untimely kept Meredith off the board and finished the game 0-7.
