Raleigh, N.C. – The Meredith College Avenging Angels faced off against the Methodist Monarchs tonight in a competitive USA South conference match, ultimately falling 3-0. Despite the defeat, the Avenging Angels remained resilient and determined throughout the game.
Both Methodist and Meredith totaled 16 shots in the game. Methodist displayed a potent offense, notching 9 shots on target, while Meredith showcased their determination with a total of 4 shots on goal.
Meredith's defense battled hard but was unable to hold up against the persistent pressure from the Monarchs' offense. Goalkeeper Khalia Jones played the full match, recording five key saves for the Avenging Angels.
The Avenging Angels will be back on the road this Saturday, October 12, as they travel to Pfeiffer University. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
