Box Score Raleigh, N.C. - In front of a standing room only crowd The Meredith volleyball team was victorious Wednesday night with a three set sweep of William Peace by the scores of 25-15, 25-22, 25-22. The Avenging Angels came out hot in the first set hitting a .367 as a team and recording 4 service aces.
Set two saw a battle of the two teams going back and forth with the Avenging Angels coming out on top. Leading the way that set was Freshmen
Delaney Lowery with 5 kills.
In set three the Avenging Angels pulled out to a lead, but the Pacers fought back. Finally, Junior Lexie House completed the the three set sweep with two service aces to close out the match. Leading the way for the Avenging Angels was Sophomore
Caitlyn Russell with 12 kills, hitting a .333 and recorded 6 service aces. Freshmen
Delaney Lowery also recorded 8 kills and hit a .389. Junior Lexie House had 5 aces to add to the team total of 16 service aces.
Meredith is back in action on the road Saturday, October 12 th at Brevard College. First serve is scheduled for 11am.
