GREENSBORO, NC – In a thrilling, back-and-forth match, the Meredith College Avenging Angels wrapped up their USA South Conference regular season against Greensboro College on Saturday, narrowly falling to the Pride in five sets (18-25, 26-24, 25-21, 21-25, 10-15). Despite the tough loss, the Avenging Angels showcased a balanced attack and gritty defense, delivering a competitive performance.

Outside hitter Caitlyn Russell led the way with an impressive double-double, racking up 19 kills and 14 digs. Senior outside hitter Emma Duncan added a powerful 18 kills, providing crucial offensive support. Freshmen middle blockers Daven Brabble and Delaney Lowery also contributed significantly, tallying 12 and 10 kills, respectively, in a strong showing from the front line. Libero Megan Murray anchored the defense with an outstanding 32 digs, keeping Meredith in contention throughout the intense match.

With Saturday's match marking the end of the regular season, the USA South Volleyball Conference tournament bracket is now set. The Avenging Angels (seeded #5) will return to Greensboro College on Tuesday, November 12, to face the #4-seeded Pride in the first round. The match is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
