GREENSBORO, NC — The Meredith College Avenging Angels put on a commanding performance in the first round of the USA South Conference Tournament, sweeping Greensboro College in a decisive 3-0 victory.
The Angels came out strong from the start, showcasing both offensive firepower and defensive grit. Setter Lillie Davis was instrumental in leading the team to a .205 hitting percentage, racking up 36 assists and 15 digs. The entire team stepped up, with the front row attacking aggressively at the net and the back line making impressive saves to keep the momentum in Meredith's favor.
With this win, the Avenging Angels advance to the semifinals, where they'll face Southern Virginia University on Thursday, 11/14. Game time is set for 6:00 p.m. as the Angels continue their quest for the conference title.
