RALEIGH, N.C. - The Meredith basketball program picked up a 56-42 victory in their last home game of the year inside Weatherspoon Gymnasium. The Avenging Angels honored seniors

Danika Ray,
De'ja Morgan, and
Barresha Jones before the game as they played their final home game.
The Angels fed off an electric home crowd in the first half outscoring Mary Baldwin 14-6 in the first quarter and extending that lead to 22 points at halftime.
Mary Baldwin outscored Meredith in the final two quarters but the Angels were able to fend off the second-half run for the win. Meredith grabbed 14 offensive rebounds and turned Mary Baldwin over 16 times which combined for 25 of the Angel's points.
Ray was out due to an injury but the other three seniors combined for 27 points and 13 rebounds. Junior
Emma Lodge tallied 12 points with seven rebounds while freshman
Paris Bethea added 10 points. Sophomore
Rylie Wade grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Angels.
Meredith wraps up the 2023-24 regular season at Methodist on Feb. 17th at 2 p.m.
