CLERMONT, Fl. - The Avenging Angel softball program started off spring break 2-0 picking up a 9-4 win over Macalester College before coming back to win 4-3 against Wesleyan University.
In the 9-4 win over Macalester, the Angel offense tallied 11 hits scoring each of the first three innings. Senior

Jessie Woller, and sophomore
Emilee Lewis all tallied two hits. Freshman
Abby Fowler earned a two-RBI single in a pinch-hit appearance for her first collegiate hit.
Sophomore
Lillie Davis struck out seven only giving up two hits with no earned runs en route to another victory.
Game two kept the traveling Angel faithful on their toes as it took three runs in the bottom of the seventh to earn the victory. Graduate senior
Hannah Weigle earned the complete game victory striking out six and only allowing five hits.
Down 3-1 with three outs left, the Angels strung together five hits to earn the walk-off win. Sophomore
Mariah Bell, who had been putting on a defensive clinic all day making several diving catches, started the rally in the seventh for the Angels. Singles from Lewis and Staggs loaded the bases for sophomore
Avery Puryear who ripped a single into centerfield tying the game.
Lillie Davis who earned the win in the circle in game one, walked it off for the Angels in game two. Davis, Lewis, and Bell all had two-hit games.
Meredith is right back in action tomorrow when they take on Southern Maine at 10:15 a.m. and Salem State at 3 p.m.
