NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The Meredith Lacrosse Program fell 20-3 on the road against No. 18 Christopher Newport University Saturday afternoon at Jennings Stadium. 

The Angels only trailed 4-0 at the end of the first but an eight-point second quarter gave the Captains the extra cushion to cruise in the second half. 

Senior Arrianna May scored two goals for the Angels while junior Lauryn Turner scored one while also adding an assist. Freshman Katherine Couch caused three turnovers and picked up three ground balls defensively. 

Meredith is back in USA South play when they host Southern Virginia on March 30th at noon.
