Fredericksburg, Va. - The Meredith lacrosse team traveled to the University of Mary Washington Wednesday afternoon for non-conference action where they fell 18-6.
The Angels only trailed 5-2 at the end of the first but an 8-1 second quarter for the Eagles lifted them to victory.
Meredith was only out shot 32-26 but Mary Washington won the draw control battle 18-9.
Freshman
Bailey Swails led the attack with three goals while sophomore
Reese Walker added two with an assist. Junior
Lauryn Turner also scored for the Angels.
Meredith is back in USA South play on Saturday when they host Pfeiffer at 11 a.m.
