Demorest, Ga. - The Meredith lacrosse program wrapped up the 2024 regular season with a 19-8 win against Piedmont University on Saturday afternoon at the Walker Athletic Complex.
The Angels scored the first four goals of the contest and jumped out to a 7-3 lead at the end of the first quarter. Meredith led 14-4 at the halftime break. Piedmont was outshot by the Angels 38-16 and saw Meredith grab three more draw controls.
The offensive attack was led by reigning USA South Player of the Week
Reese Walker. Walker tallied six goals with two assists while also grabbing two groundballs.
Freshman
Bailey Swails also scored a career-high five goals. Senior
Madeline Horrell picked up seven saves in goal for the Angels.
Meredith finished the regular season 11-6 and 8-1 in USA South play. They will host Huntingdon on Tuesday, April 30th, at 10 a.m. for the first round of the USA South Tournament.
