Mia Staggs became the all-time leader in program history for stolen bases with 55.
Lillie Davis went seven innings in game one only giving up two earned runs with four strikeouts.
Jessie Woller earned the only hit of game one for the Angels.
In game two, Meredith clung to a three-run lead in the top of the seventh before giving up four runs in the inning dropping both games of the afternoon. Sophomores
Tess Spangenburg and
Avery Puryear had two-hit games while also adding an RBI each.
Staggs picked up two stolen bases in game two which pushed her atop of the record books.
The Angels are back in action tomorrow when they host nationally ranked Christopher Newport University with game one set for 2 p.m.
