Game Recap: Softball | | Heath Barringer

Softball drops non-conference action against No. 9 CNU

RALEIGH, N.C. - The Meredith softball team hosted No. 9 Christopher Newport University Sunday afternoon and dropped both games in five innings. The Captains took game one 8-0 and game two 10-0. 

In game one freshman Abby Fowler and sophomore Morgan Knight picked up the lone two hits for the Angels. In game two, freshman Riley Fay picked up her first career hit for Meredith while sophomores Mariah Bell and Avery Puryear also picked up hits. 

The Avenging Angels are right back in action on Tuesday when they travel to USA South foe William Peace University with game one set for 2 p.m.
