Box Score Ashland, Va. - The Avenging Angels hit the road for their first away match of the 2024 campaign. The Randolph-Macon Yellow Jackets hosted the Angels Friday, September 13th in their fourth face off in history. The Yellow Jackets capitalized in the second period over the Angels to cause a 1-3 loss for Meredith.
How it Happened:
? Both teams came out with speed in the first period, quickly getting shots off in one another's circle. A strong defensive performance from the Angels led by
Shae-Lynn Henderson kept the Yellow Jackets at bay as they put up 11 shots in the opening 15 minutes. Meredith forced two corners in the first, but were unable to convert, ending the period locked 0-0.
? The Meredith defense conceded the first goal of the game just over two minutes into the quarter. The Angels defense again put up a strong performance, allowing five less shots and two less corners across the period. However the Yellow Jackets were able to find the back of the cage once more before the halftime whistle to take the lead 2-0

Carleigh Harris to put up the first goal against Randolph-Macon in matchup history. Closing the gap to just two goals going into the fourth quarter.
? Randolph-Macon pushed back harder than ever in the final 15 minutes of play, recording 13 shots on the Meredith defense. Nevertheless, the Angels held strong, notching their second scoreless quarter of the game. The Angels offense wasn't able to close the gap in the remaining minutes, ending the match 1-3.
