Box Score Raleigh, N.C. – The Meredith College Avenging Angels secured an exciting five-set victory over cross-town rival William Peace University in a match that kept fans on the edge of their seats. With momentum shifting throughout the contest, Meredith emerged victorious with set scores of 22-25, 25-22, 25-9, 14-25, and 15-12.
The match was marked by intense competition, featuring 25 tie scores and nine lead changes.Meredith's middle hitters were instrumental in driving the offense and shifting momentum. Sophomore Kinley Copeland delivered 13 kills and added 7 blocks, while freshman Delaney Lowery made a strong impact with 12 kills and 4 blocks.
Outside hitter Caitlyn Russell delivered another standout performance, earning a double-double with 13 kills while hitting .400. Russell, along with libero Hannah Jo Jablonski, anchored the backcourt with 24 digs each. The Angels also demonstrated toughness at the service line, with Ali Polidori and Alexa House each firing 4 aces to maintain pressure on William Peace.
