LaGrange, Ga. – The Meredith College Avenging Angels soccer team showcased their offensive power in a commanding 6-0 win against LaGrange College on Saturday. With contributions from multiple players, the Avenging Angels improved their record to 3-1 and set the tone for their upcoming home match.
Meredith Warrick opened the scoring early in the first half, finding the back of the net first to give Meredith a 1-0 lead. Kathryn Angrave followed up with a goal, assisted by Rebecca Morrison, extending the lead to 2-0 before halftime.
The Avenging Angels continued their dominant performance in the second half. Rebecca Morrison, Evelyn Hopkins, and Kendalyn Dixon each scored, while Audrey Taylor and Hopkins contributed assists. Morrison's two-goal performance, punctuated by an unassisted strike at the 78:40 mark, affirmed her role as a pivotal player in the match.
Meredith's defense stood strong throughout, holding LaGrange scoreless and securing a clean sheet.
The Avenging Angels will return home for their next matchup on Wednesday, September 11, at 5 p.m., where they will take on Averett University.
