Avenging Angels Fall to Wildcats

CHARLOTTE, N.C. | Meredith basketball fell 86-40 to Johnson and Wales University on Monday afternoon. Danae Hawkins and Rylie Wade led the Avenging Angels on offense. Hawkins scored 16 points and Wade put up eight.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
  • Danae Hawkins scored 16 points and had four rebounds, Rylie Wade put up eight points and corralled eight boards, and Paris Bethea scored eight points.
  • Johnson and Wales made five threes to Meredith's four.
  • The Wildcats shot 40% from the floor and had 64 rebounds in the game.
  • Meredith shot 60% from the free throw line
  • Gabby Tapley and Kyrah Davis led the Wildcats to the victory. Tapley had a double double with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Davis tallied 14 points, and two other Wildcats scored double figures.
