MISENHEIMER, NC. - The Meredith College basketball team opened Tuesday night's USA south conference match up with strong momentum, closing out the first quarter with a 21–17 lead over Pfeiffer University. The Avenging Angels showcased crisp ball movement and defensive intensity early, setting the tone for a competitive first half.
Pfieffer responded with sustained scoring runs in the middle quarters, gradually pulling ahead as the game progressed. Despite Meredith's continued effort on both ends of the floor, the Falcons secured a 67–44 victory

Sophomore guard Leanna Nohs led the Avenging Angels with a standout effort, recording 12 points, 3 steals, and 2 rebounds. Her defensive pressure and shot-making fueled Meredith's strong first quarter and kept the team within striking distance in key stretches. Freshman Mary Church also added 10 points and 9 rebounds in the contest.Â
