ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. | Meredith Lacrosse beat North Carolina Wesleyan 23-1 in a road matchup on Tuesday. The win puts Meredith at the top of the conference with five conference games remaining. It was a record setting day for
Madi Horrell. She set the record for most career wins in USA South history at 38.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Swails put the Avenging Angels up 1-0, 41 seconds into the game. Next, Meredith went on their usual scoring tear. Walker scored two goals, followed by two more by Allison June Mabe. Katherine Couch, Kenzie Todd, and Ava Spradley tallied the final three goals of the first quarter. Meredith led 15-0 after the opening frame.
- Reese Walker scored the lone goal of the second quarter and Meredith took the 16-0 lead into the break.
- North Carolina Wesleyan scored a man up goal in the third quarter. Maxima Iglesia shot one that found the back of the net for the Battling Bishops' lone goal of the contest.
- Ava Spradley responded a minute later with another goal for Meredith. Lauryn Turner scored a free position goal, increasing the Avenging Angels lead to 19-1.
- Ariana Rundgren, Morgan Hall, and Logan Campbell scored the final three goals for Meredith in the fourth quarter to take the 23-1 victory.
- Meredith finished with 21 draw controls to NC Wesleyan's seven.
- Kenzie Todd led the Avenging Angels offense. She scored three goals and had six assists for nine points.
