RALEIGH, N.C. | Meredith College lacrosse dismantled USA South foe Methodist University 21-4 on Wednesday night. The Avenging Angels jumped out to an early 7-1 lead and continued to dominate all aspects of the game to walk away with the victory.

Madison Dean who made adjustments all game to give us the 50/50 possessions. It feels great to be at the top of the USA South contending for hosting rights of the conference tournament."
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Bailey Swails opened the scoring for the game, kick starting Meredith's elite offense. The goals poured in one after the other. Lauryn Turner, Kenzie Todd, and Elle White all scored within a minute to put Meredith ahead 4-0. Dean joined in on the scoring frenzy extending the Avenging Angels' lead to five.
- Methodist answered at 6:36, scoring their first goal. Erika Henry passed it to Maddie Hagler and Hagler put it past Horrell. The Avenging Angels, unfazed by the goal, scored two more goals, taking a 7-1 lead after the first quarter.
- Swails scored Meredith's tenth goal of the game early in the second frame. The Avenging Angels scored another goal, but had it waved off and the Monarchs pounced on the momentary change of momentum. Kennedy Martin fought through two defenders and unleashed a shot that found the back of the net. White and Turner each notched their third goals of the game to give Meredith the 12-2 lead at the half.
- Reese Walker added to her season highlight reel, scoring a fancy behind the back goal in the second half. She finished the game with seven points on four goals and three assists.
- The Avenging Angels outscored the Monarchs 9-2 in the second half to walk away with their eighth straight win.
- Madison Dean led a dominant draw team to 18 draw controls granting Meredith's offense opportunity after opportunity all game long, which led to a running clock throughout the second half.
- Dean put together a spectacular performance. She scored a goal, tallied an assist, totaled ten draw controls, and corralled one ground ball.
- Three Avenging Angels had five-point nights: Turner (4 goals, 1 assist), Swails (5 goals), and Todd (3 goals 2 assists).
- Elle White scored three goals on five shots and Logan Campbell scored the final goal of the third quarter.
- Madi Horrell earned her 10th win in goal this season and made four saves on the night.
- In the loss, Maddie Hagler led Methodist's offense, scoring two goals.
