BUENA VISTA, Va. | Meredith College lacrosse picked up the 20-9 road victory against Southern Virginia on Saturday afternoon.
Kenzie Todd led Meredith's offense, scoring six goals and
Madi Horrell made four saves in the win.

"Today wasn't our best day, but we were able to fight through some adversity and get the win. It will be nice to get a break this week and be back at the op of our game next weekend."
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- The Avenging Angels jumped out to an early 4-0 lead. The Knight got on the board with 8:22 left in the opening quarter. Meredith ended the first frame on a 4-1 run to take the six goal lead going into the second.
- Southern Virginia outscored Meredith 4-3 in the second quarter. Meredith made their halftime adjustments and scored five goals in the third quarter to take the 16-8 advantage into the final 15 minutes.
- Kenzie Todd scored two goals and Bailey Swails and Elle White each scored one in the fourth quarter to help Meredith secure the 20-9 victory.
- Todd and Reese Walker led Meredith's offense in the win. Todd scored six goals and tacked on an assist. Walker had eight points on three goals and five assists.
- Swails netted four goals and tallied an assist, while Lauryn Turner and Elle White each scored two goals.
- In the loss, Kenzie Poulsen had a stellar offensive performance, scoring three goals for the Knights.
- Meredith had 27 shots on goal compared to Southern Virginia's 9.
- The Avenging Angels won 21 draw controls
- Both teams combined for 12 cards.
