RALEIGH, NC | Meredith College Lacrosse picked up the dominant 27-4 semifinal victory over Southern Virginia on Saturday to advance to their 11
th straight USA South Championship game.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Meredith notched the first three goals of the game to take the early lead. Lauryn Turner scored 30 seconds into the game. Allison June Mabe and Ava Spradley followed suit, both finding the back of the net.
- Kenzie Poulsen responded for the Knights finding space and ripping a shot into the nylon, bringing the score to 3-1. This was one of Poulsen's three goals on the day.
- Lauryn Turner found Reese Walker for two goals in the quarter by the USA South Player of the Year.
- Kenzie Todd tallied two goals in the opening quarter and Bailey Swails scored to close out the first fifteen minutes and put Meredith ahead 12-1.
- Elle White found space near the goal and buried it past Savanna Burnett for her first goal of the game. The Avenging Angels scored three more to take the 16-1 lead at the half.
- Poulsen scored two more goals in the third for Southern Virginia and Makenzie Micklesen notched the Knights' final goal with six minutes left in the fourth quarter.
- Meredith scored six goals in the third and five in the fourth quarter, earning the 27-4 victory and a spot in Saturday's Championship.
- Turner had an excellent game on both sides of the ball finishing with five goals, three assists, eight points, and a key caused turnover leading to a goal.
- Walker had another double-digit point outing, scoring five goals and dishing out six assists for 11 points.
- Kenzie Todd scored six goals and had two assists for eight points.
- Ava Spradley scored four goals and Mabe scored three goals.
- Madi Horrell picked up another win in net for Meredith.
UP NEXT:
- Meredith College advances to the USA South Tournament Championship game and will face Methodist on Saturday at noon. The win would be Meredith's 11th straight tournament title.
