RALEIGH, N.C. — Meredith College is proud to announce that Athletic Director Jackie Myers was inducted into the USA South Athletic Conference Hall of Fame this past weekend. The ceremony, held in Greensboro, North Carolina, honored Myers for her exceptional leadership, vision, and impact at Meredith College.
This fall will mark the start of her 24th year at the helm of Meredith Athletics. Myers has been a driving force behind the program's success and growth. Myers was instrumental in facilitating Meredith's transition into the USA South in 2007 and has since helped establish the Avenging Angels as a consistent and respected competitor within the conference.
Under her guidance, Meredith has earned 40 USA South Conference Championships and made 22 NCAA Tournament appearances. She led the expansion of varsity athletics to include lacrosse, field hockey, indoor track & field, and outdoor track & field. Myers also championed the construction of a major outdoor turf complex now serving as home to Meredith soccer, field hockey, lacrosse, and track & field. Most recently, she provided key guidance in the planning of the Estes-Speight Athletic Center, a transformative facility set to open in Fall 2025 that will further enhance the student-athlete experience at Meredith.
Myers' commitment to competitive excellence is reflected in the success of her coaching staff, who have earned 15 USA South Coach of the Year honors. Meredith has also produced 430 USA South All-Conference honorees and more than 900 USA South All-Academic selections during her tenure, underscoring her focus on developing well-rounded student-athletes.
