RALEIGH, N.C. – The Meredith College Avenging Angels faced a tough road challenge on Tuesday night, falling to USA South Conference opponent Methodist University, 79–51, at the Riddle Center in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
Methodist jumped out to an early lead, opening the game with a strong first quarter and holding Meredith to seven points, taking a 21–7 advantage after the opening period. The Monarchs continued to build momentum in the second quarter, extending their lead to 42–21 at halftime.
Meredith showed resilience coming out of the locker room, scoring 16 points in the third quarter—its highest scoring frame of the night—but Methodist maintained control throughout, outscoring the Angels in each quarter and securing the 79–51 final.
KEY PERFORMANCES
Senior Molly Zuburg led Meredith with a team-high 13 points, knocking down three three-pointers and adding six rebounds. Leanna Nohs followed closely with 12 points, five steals, and three assists, contributing on both ends of the floor.
Off the bench, Emma Roche provided a strong presence in the paint, finishing with 11 points and a team-best 11 rebounds for a double-digit rebounding performance. Jaymie Bevins and Emme Baber each added six points, while Baber connected on two shots from beyond the arc.

Meredith finished the contest with 43 rebounds and generated 11 points from its bench. Meredith will look to regroup and build on individual performances as conference play continues.
