STAUNTON, Va. – The Meredith College women's basketball team earned a key road victory Friday afternoon with a 71–66 win over Mary Baldwin University at the Physical Activity Center. The result secured Meredith's bid into the USA South Conference Tournament, as the Avenging Angels will take on Brevard College on Tuesday in the first round.

Meredith opened the game with strong offensive execution, building a 22–16 advantage after the first quarter and extending the margin to double digits late in the second. The Avenging Angels maintained control through three quarters and withstood a late push from Mary Baldwin in the final period to secure the road win.
