RALEIGH, N.C. – Meredith College women's basketball earned a 55–40 victory over Regent University on Tuesday evening at Weatherspoon Gymnasium, using a balanced offensive attack and strong defensive effort to pull away in the second half.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
Meredith jumped out to an early advantage, leading 14–8 after the first quarter, and never relinquished control. The Avenging Angels held Regent to single-digit scoring in two quarters, including a seven-point third quarter, to build separation heading into the final frame. Meredith outscored the Royals 18–13 in the fourth quarter to seal the win.
The Avenging Angels finished the night shooting 37.3 percent from the field and controlled the paint with 28 points inside. Meredith also held a rebounding edge, 47–37, and capitalized on 15 points off turnovers.
KEY PERFORMANCES
Molly Zuburg led Meredith with a team-high 16 points, knocking down three three-pointers while also contributing five assists and seven rebounds. Skyler Setzer added nine points and two assists, while Emme Baber chipped in eight points.
Jaymie Bevins posted a strong all-around performance with seven points and a game-high 13 rebounds, anchoring Meredith on the boards. Emma Roche provided a spark off the bench, finishing with six points and eight rebounds.

The Angels will travel to Buena Vista, Virginia on Thursday February 5th to take on Southern Virginia at 5pm.
