Meredith Lacrosse Rolls Past Marymount 20-8

Meredith College lacrosse delivered a dominant performance on Wednesday afternoon, defeating Marymount (Va.) 20-8 on the road. The Avenging Angels improved to 5-2 on the season behind a fast start and consistent offensive pressure throughout all four quarters.

Meredith set the tone early, exploding for eight first-quarter goals while holding Marymount to just one. The Angels continued to build their lead with a 4-2 second quarter, taking a commanding 12-3 advantage into halftime.

Despite a more even second half, Meredith maintained control, outscoring Marymount 8-5 over the final two quarters to secure the 20-8 victory.

The Angels dominated statistically, outshooting Marymount 37-15 and holding a 21-10 advantage in shots on goal. Meredith also controlled possession with a 19-10 edge in draw controls.

Key Performances
Kenzie Todd and Reese Walker led the offensive explosion with five goals each. Todd added two assists for a game-high seven points, while Walker contributed an assist to total six points.

Mia Frick added four goals, while Bailey Swails and Logan Campbell each scored twice. Swails also dished out two assists, and Campbell added one assist to round out a balanced scoring attack that saw seven different players find the back of the net.

Defensively, Delaney Posehn earned the win in goal, recording four saves over 60 minutes of play. The Angels also forced 14 turnovers and matched Marymount with 13 ground balls.
