Facing the No. 22 team in the nation, Meredith came out with energy and determination, matching the Captains early and competing with intensity throughout. Despite a 15-7 final, the Avenging Angels showcased resilience, strong defensive play, and standout performances against one of the top teams in Division III.

Meredith wasted no time setting the tone, responding quickly after the opening goal and taking an early 3-2 lead behind aggressive offensive play. The Avenging Angels continued to battle in the first half, tying the game multiple times and eventually taking a 6-5 lead midway through the second quarter.

The Captains responded with a late second-quarter push to take an 8-6 lead into halftime, but Meredith remained within striking distance thanks to disciplined defensive efforts and key saves in goal.
