RALEIGH, N.C. — Meredith College women's lacrosse opened the USA South Conference Tournament in dominant fashion Saturday morning, overwhelming Brevard College with a 24-0 victory on home turf. The Avenging Angels used a fast start and complete team performance to secure their place in the semifinal round, continuing an already historic 2026 campaign.

Meredith wasted no time setting the tone, erupting for 13 first-quarter goals to take full control early. Goals came in rapid succession, with the Avenging Angels scoring three times in the opening minute and continuing to apply relentless pressure throughout the frame.
The momentum carried into the second quarter, where Meredith added seven more goals to build a commanding 20-0 halftime lead. The Angels maintained possession dominance behind strong draw control play (23 total) and outshot Brevard 42-0 in the contest.
Defensively, Meredith delivered a flawless performance, holding Brevard without a single shot while forcing 20 turnovers and limiting clears to 0-for-4. The Angels continued to add to their total in the second half, closing out the 24-0 shutout victory.
