Track & Field/Cross Country Sees Four Athletes Honored on CSC Academic All-District Listing

GREENWOOD, Ind. - Four Meredith Track & Field/Cross Country student athletes have earned spots on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District listing, announced by the organization Tuesday afternoon.

Delaney Bundy, Abigail Clayton, Bryanna Herring and Carly O'Toole each earned honors for the first time in their careers for outstanding work in the classroom and competing for the Avenging Angels.

The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Women's Track & Field/Cross Country teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's track & field/cross country honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced July 15, 2026.


Delaney Bundy | Jr. | Cary, N.C.
 
Delaney Bundy - CSC Academic All-District 2026

Bundy enjoyed a spectacular season in both cross country and on the track in her third season with the Avenging Angels. The Cary, North Carolina native crossed the line first to become the USA South's Individual Cross Country Champion, earning conference Runner of the Year honors in the process. She expanded upon her success in the NCAA South Region meet, with a fantastic performance that earned her qualification in the NCAA DIII National Meet. On the track, Bundy was the USA South Indoor Conference Champion in the 5,000m before taking outdoor honors in the 10,000m in April. She was an indoor and an outdoor All-Region selection from the USTFCCCA.

Abigail Clayton - CSC Academic All-District 2026

Clayton took a leap as a sophomore to become a key part of the team in the spring, after playing soccer in the fall as a dual sport athlete. She did her best work in the 400m, ranking 13th in the region in the indoor rankings and 21st in the outdoor rankings. She was also a standout in the 200m, with a 34th regional ranking in outdoor and 49th in indoor.

In her first year at Meredith, Herring made an immediate impact, as the Brockport, New York native was a standout in the field in both the indoor and outdoor season. Her 16.73m mark int he weight throw ranked third in the region and 35th nationally, earning her USTFCCCA All-Region honors in the category. In the outdoor season, Herring's hammer throw mark of 45.78m was 12th in the region while her shot put toss of 11.19m was 23rd in the region.


Carly O'Toole | Sr. | Raleigh, N.C.
 
Carly O'Toole - CSC Academic All-District 2026

O'Toole was a standout in the fall on cross country before contributing in multiple events in the spring on the track. The Raleigh native was strong the 3k steeplechase, ranking 34th in the region with a time of 14:05.59. She also snuck into the top 50 in the 1500m, with a time of 4:59.67.
