As a result, all Meredith College Athletics home events for sports that compete within the USA South will be aired on FloCollege, with full game replays for home events available on the Meredith Athletics YouTube channel at a later date.

Mike Barroqueiro was selected to lead the Meredith College Soccer program as Head Coach in June of 2026. Barroqueiro comes to Meredith with nearly two decades of Division I coaching experience, including multiple head coaching stints and a track record of program-building success at every stop.

Most recently, Barroqueiro served as the Director of Coaching at Charlotte Independence Soccer Club (CISC), where he oversaw all operations for the North Branch of CISC, which included supervision of over 600 athletes and 100 coaches while also leading competitive boys’ and girls’ team and supporting USL W-League programming.

Prior to his club leadership role, Barroqueiro spent six seasons as head coach of the University of Delaware. While with the Blue Hens, he helped 20 athletes earn honors from the Colonial Athletic Association, including the program’s first ever major award winner. The 2019 season marked a banner year for Barroqueiro and the program. He led the team to the fourth largest win improvement in the nation (+8), the program’s highest win total in 25 years and the No. 2 seed for the CAA Tournament, the best in program history. On the individual side, he helped Olivia Schuck earn CAA Defensive Player of the Year honors, the first major conference award in program history.
