RALEIGH, N.C. — Meredith College Athletics has welcomed Bryn Haden to the Department of Athletics as an assistant coach for the women's soccer program.
Haden joins the Avenging Angels with collegiate coaching experience and was also a highly successful Division III student athlete.
Haden most recently served as a varsity assistant coach at Saint Mary's School in Raleigh, where she assisted with daily training sessions, tactical and technical development, injury-prevention warm-ups, player development and team operations. She also designed and led targeted in-season lifting sessions focused on improving speed performance and reducing knee and hamstring injuries.
"I'm beyond excited that Coach (Mike) Barroqueiro has given me the opportunity to work alongside him," Haden said. "I cannot wait to continue to develop as a coach because of him and help pour into these girls on and off the field as much as possible."
Prior to her coaching experience at Saint Mary's, Haden worked with the University of North Carolina women's soccer program as a sport science/performance intern in 2024. As part of the Tar Heels' NCAA Division I Women's Soccer National Championship season, Haden analyzed player performance metrics using PlayerData, FitFor90 and Wyscout. She also developed individualized performance dashboards to monitor athlete recovery, workload and performance while gaining experience integrating data from strength training, practices and matches. Haden additionally served as a team manager for the Tar Heels during their national championship campaign.
Haden's background in sport science is complemented by her academic experience. She earned a Master of Public Health in Applied Epidemiology from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2025 after earning a bachelor's degree in Health & Exercise Science and Public Health from Roanoke College in 2022. Her academic and professional experience includes sports analytics, exercise testing and prescription, data analysis and athlete performance.
A former standout Division III student-athlete at Roanoke, Haden was a four-time First Team All-ODAC Academic Team selection and earned ODAC All-State Academic Team honors in 2022. She was also an Academic All-District selection and Academic All-American finalist in women's soccer in 2021. Haden was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society and received the Department of Epidemiology Award in 2024.
Haden holds a USSF F License and brings her combination of coaching, playing and sport science experience to Meredith as the Avenging Angels continue to build their women's soccer program.

Haden begins her first season with the Avenging Angels in the fall of 2026.
